URGENT BULLETIN: Translating Identity Conference Online Database Crash. Proposals Lost!!!
That's right, we are writing you today with some bad news for this year's conference, although, it could be good if you never got a chance to submit your proposal. Our internet form for accepting proposal submissions for workshops and sessions crashed, leaving us with no proposals in our database. All that we were able to pull out of the database was a scattered list of emails. Without proposals, we can't have any workshops, and without workshops, TIC cannot happen.
That is where you come in. We need proposals, and we need them fast. Please forward this message to anyone and everyone you know who may be interested in presenting at TIC. If you already proposed a session, please re-propose it via e-mail to tic@uvm.edu. If you meant to propose but never got around to it or are at all interested in presenting a workshop at TIC 2008 (on Saturday, November 8), please e-mail your submission to tic@uvm.edu as well. We need all the
proposals we can get. A list of information that we need about your session can be found at http://www.uvm.edu/~tic/participate/proposals.php, so please email us the information requested on that page to propose a session.
The new deadline for proposal submissions is August 1. That does not leave us with much time to get proposals in, but we know that with your help we can do it!
Sincerely,
The TIC Committee 2008
