The article discusses the perception of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) youth in Mexico. Many scientists and the public at large argue that adolescents can not have a fully formed sense of sexuality, and the official government policy on adolescent sexuality in countries like Mexico is that it doesn't exist. There are many reasons for this policy, including prejudice against homosexuality and minority sexual orientations, as well as a general opinion by educational policymakers that adolescents do not have adult feelings.
